Excess caffeine
✗ Best to avoid
Consuming more than 200mg of caffeine per day (about one 12oz coffee) during pregnancy is associated with increased risk of miscarriage and low birth weight. Caffeine crosses the placenta and your baby cannot metabolize it efficiently. Limit intake to under 200mg daily.
