Sexual intercourse is safe during a normal, healthy pregnancy. Your baby is protected by the amniotic fluid, uterine muscles, and a mucus plug sealing the cervix. If your doctor hasn't identified complications like placenta previa or preterm labor risk, sex is perfectly safe.
