Nasal decongestants

Oral decongestants containing pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine should be avoided during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. They can constrict blood vessels, potentially reducing blood flow to the placenta. Use saline nasal spray or steam inhalation instead.
